In March 2019 the project coordinator Technikon hosted the certMILS Technical Meeting, as well as the Advisory Board meeting at the Hinteregger Hotel in Katschberg, Austria.
The first day started with a presentation by the new project partner Q-Media from Czech Republic and some management topics. After that, both third party NXP and project partner EZU gave an update on their ongoing work, followed by a fruitful discussion on the implementation of the prototypes and the certification status with all present partners. In the morning of the 14th of March updates on work packages “MILS platform certification” and “Security Testing Framework” were given and a common table of content for upcoming deliverables was created. The second part of the day was fully dedicated to the Advisory Board Meeting, with representatives of the following companies attending: DBNetz, Continental Automotive, TÜV Rheinland, DPP (Prague Public Transport) and NUKIB (Czech National Cyber and Information Security Agency). Each Advisory Board member held a presentation on safety and security issues in their companies and presented different standards they use. The day ended with interesting discussions between the consortium and the external advisors. On the third day of the certMILS meeting the project partners talked about the three pilots (smart grid, subway and railway), as well as the Protection Profile (PP) and ongoing activities within the Common Criteria User Forum (CCUF). After that, there was enough time to collect useful feedback from the Advisory Board including suggestions on where to present the outcomes of the certMILS project in the upcoming months.
All partners are now looking forward to the upcoming work, especially to the implementation of the project pilots.
